Why I'm Starting A Blog
Hello there, my name is Haikal, I’m a second-year medical student at the University of Malaya and welcome to my home on the Internet!
I’ve been really interested in content creation from watching people like Matt D’Avella, Thomas Frank and Ali Abdaal on their YouTube channel, podcasts and newsletters, so here’s my own spin on this. It’s just a fun hobby I decided to pick up. I’ve always been interested in writing, and thus I’ve decided to step out of my comfort zone and make my own blog.
My blog will be mainly focused around notes on books and podcasts that I’ve found to help me lead a better, happier and more productive life. I’ll also be documenting my journey as a medical student on the blog, my tools and tricks, routines and whatnot.
There’s a quote from Austin Kleon which really gave me the push needed to start this blog.
“Even if what you have to say is going to be useful to at least one person in the world, then that is a strong indication for putting it out there”.
Austin Kleon
It could be that no one reads my blog, but I just want to give it a shot anyway. Even if it’s useful to just one person, that’ll be enough for me.
